Brainbox presents – GAMES DESIGN SUMMER CAMP

BRAIN BOX SUMMER CAMPOverview
The game designer camp is aimed at those who are just beginning to learn how to code. The goal of the course is to teach the
fundamentals of programming in a fun and engaging way.

What your child will learn

Through the course, children will create animations, build interactive games, and share their creations with their friends.
At Brainbox children will learn:
• How to work with the Scratch interface
• Fundamental coding concepts (such as working with commands, loops, variables, conditional statements and operators)
• How to create and Modify sprites
• How to create simple animations
• How to create titles and credits
• How to work with co-ordinates
• Critical thinking and problem solving

Time and Location
The Camp runs from 10:00 to 13:00 in The Barbican, St Peters Parish Centre, William St, Drogheda. The Camp runs from the 10th – 14th July

The Teacher
The class will be taught by Morgan Campbell. Morgan has been teaching technology and computing for more than 7 years. He
currently works as a senior lecturer in IBAT college. He holds two primary degrees in Multimedia and Communications as well as a
masters degree in Marketing. Morgan has also been garda vetted.
